ResponseWorks offers both a Student Assistance Program and a Trauma Response and Planning Program. These programs are constructed to be molded to the specific needs of your institution. Each element of a program functions as a building block yet can be isolated from the rest to fit into, supplement and work along side with departments, plans and constructs that are already in place at your school/college/university.
We work with institutions ranging from those having the majority of their students' mental health needs and crisis response met internally- to those that rely on us as the primary provider for these services.
THE THREE TIERS OF TRAUMA RESPONSE AND SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES:
TIER I - PREPAREDNESS AND LOGISTICAL PLANNING

- REVIEW AND SUPPLEMENTATION OF AN EXISTING PLAN
TIER II - TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS
Adequate response to a campus wide tragedy requires clinical responders as well as involvement from faculty, staff and volunteers. ResponseWorks offers trainings that are geared to specific populations and defining their roles in the time during and after a crisis has occurred. We are well versed in educating the clinical and non clinical populations on the many issues surrounding trauma, grief/bereavement and loss. We are able to supplement already existing training programs, and trainings can be selected as needed.
TIER III - EMERGENCY RESPONSE: CLINICAL COVERAGE AND SERVICES
In the case of a Traumatic Event occurring on a campus many schools find that their internal resources are pushed to the breaking point. Counseling Departments, Student Assistance Programs and others that usually support the academic community can find that they themselves are traumatized by the events that have occurred.
Many times the numbers of individuals and families needing debriefing and trauma services prove overwhelming to the school's therapists and counselors. For those without internal Counseling Centers ResponseWorks is able to provide full clinical services in the case of an emergent event. We also work successfully to bolster, back up and give relief to already existing Student Mental Health Centers.
STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Colleges and Universities are in a unique position of providing both the academic and personal support needed to their student population to facilitate the successful completion of their studies. Campuses are increasingly diverse, varied populations -whether the student body is made up of the traditional high school graduate, those endeavoring to learn a trade, the returning student who is juggling family and existing employment or all of the above - these students are living complex lives. Many can benefit from the additional support this program offers.
